More info Novak Djokovic has played over a thousand matches in his tennis career but the Serbian learned he can still surprise himself after making a hilarious mistake in his match on Friday at the Tel Aviv Open. The 35-year-old was pitted against Vasek Pospisil in his quarter-final tie, during which he made an amusing error involving the ballboys. The 21-time Grand Slam winner was a set up in his match against his Canadian opponent when he secured the all-important break in the second that would hand him the chance to serve for the match at 5-3. But Djokovic seemed to forget for a moment that players only change ends after every two games and when the total number of games adds up to an odd number. Despite there only being eight games played and not nine, he headed for his chair to take on some fluids before play would resume. He was only made to realise his error when he gestured hurriedly to the ballboys to move the balls over to his side of the court. And it was at that point that the veteran tennis star realised the error of his ways after seeking clarification from the umpire.
