IPL 2023 Trading Window: 3 Teams Who Can Target Kartik Tyagi For Upcoming Auction
Kartik Tyagi made headlines for his outstanding play at the U19 World Cup 2020 when he picked up 11 wickets in six matches. In 10 games for Rajasthan Royals in 2020, the youngster made his IPL debut and claimed nine wickets.
The Hyderabad franchise selected the 21-year-old at IPL Mega Auction because of his promising performance. Tyagi, however, had a limited number of opportunities to show off his abilities and failed to make an impression. In two games, he only managed to capture one wicket and allowed runs at a 9.88 economy.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, and Umran Malik are already among the best pacers in the Sunrisers’ ranks. In order to free up INR 4 crore, Hyderabad could release him in the forthcoming trading window. The talented Indian bowler is someone that other teams would love to have on their team.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
One of the players RCB needs to trade for before the IPL 2023 Auctions is Kartik Tyagi. Mohammed Siraj’s poor performance in IPL 2022 caused RCB to suffer. RCB would have been better suited with an additional foreign player in the batting department in terms of the squad’s overall balance as well.
With the arrival of Kartik Tyagi, who has struggled with a lack of playing time at SRH, these problems may be resolved. Tyagi being a member of the team allowed RCB to rest Josh Hazlewood. With this combination, an additional batter from abroad could be added to the starting XI. The squad will be able to field a balanced unit as a result.
Mumbai Indians (MI)
