Dale Steyn picks ideal replacement of Jasprit Bumrah for T20 World Cup 2022

While the Indian selectors are still contemplating who should be the replacement of Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, Dale Steyn has put forward his opinion and has said that he would prefer Mohammed Shami as Bumrah’s replacement, if Shami is fit. Advertisement Mohammed Shami recently suffered COVID and although he has recovered from it now, he didn’t travel with the Indian team to Australia as he has not yet got his medical clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He is, however, supposed to get that soon and will likely join the Indian squad in Australia in a few days. Advertisement But currently Shami is among the three reserve players that the Indian selectors have named for the T20 World Cup 2022. He is not among the 15 players who are in the main squad. And to go with his pace, Shami can also move the ball in the air and off the pitch.
